Blue gender

Blue Gender is a mature anime, to put that up front. There is intense blood and violence, killing and mild sexual acts. Blue gender showed briefly on Adult Swim a few years ago, edited of course or more of the blood, violence and sex. I must say it is a thousand times better with the blood and minor sexual acts, you do not see anything graphic just minor thrusting movements of the upper body, a blow job off to the side and kissing that is it. Nothing extreme and nothing worst then what some American shows has showed….except the animation is better and they resemble real people more. Blue gender is about a young man’s life, Yuji Kaito, who is diagnosed with an unknown abnormal cell disease. He is cryogenically frozen with a large group of others, with many other groups around the world, until there is a cure discovered. Something though happens during the time he is frozen, the world is over run by a new species of bug like creatures. These bug like creatures are huge, bigger then tanks, even when babies they are larger than mastiffs. The bug like creatures are called Blue, these Blue feasted on humans and turned building into nests. During their first few years of existence there was a lot of killing but soon humans began to flee the world. Only sending the best normally to a space colony called 2^nd Earth. This is where the 2^nd main character Marlene spends most of her life after her family is killed by blue, full of anger about the creatures she trains with the colony to work on destroying the Blue and taking back their home. The two characters meet when Marlene and her assigned recovery group go to Earth and try to take some of the B-cell holders to 2^nd Earth, most have died the rest still asleep are transported to earth. The reason why is because 2^nd earth scientist have learned that if you stimulate the B-cell they could be ultimate fight machines, this comes at a price though unknown to the scientists at first. Triggering their B-cells knocks off their mental stability, causing them to lose connect with humanity.

Yuji though when he was recovered was taken out of his cryogenic sleep and witnesses the destroyed world first hand, scaring him. Most of the Recovery team is killed and Marlene is forced to try and find a way with Yuji unharmed to 2^nd Earth for him to train and help them rid the world of the Blue. There is a lot of action and romance in this series, good for both girls and boys. I give it a 9.9 out of 10, wasn’t perfect but amazing!
